What is College and Career Readiness?

College and Career Readiness is a concept that can start as early as elementary school to help students understand, explore, plan , and prepare for a world beyond high school. Beginning with a plan that connects learning and real life to discover personal strengths through exploration of both college and career opportunities.  KPCS's goal is that every student who leaves our doors is armed with  21st Century  Skills that will permit them to be successful in their future.

"KPCS Students learn to be 21st Century READY! To be college- and - career- ready, means a high school student graduates they have the understanding, working skills and beginning knowledge to pursue a career pathway that includes postsecondary credit. This can lead them to a degree, diploma, certificate, or industry- recognized credential and employment. "
